Color, light and emotion are my three essentials for painting. Of those three, emotion is what I count on most. If I feel intensely connected to what I am creating, the painting will reflect that, and the viewer will often feel it, as well.  Painting is truly an avocation for me; it consumes my thoughts and dreams, and provides me immense joy (and the occasional frustration).
